heavenly trumpets, hellish racket

Heavenly Trumpets, Hellish Racket was originally installed in a display window of an old, vacated department store on a busy corner in Downtown LA. Built in layers like a 17th century European theater set, the painted wooden flats create the Looney Toons logo surrounded by cutout clouds with portraits of 70's comic personalities ( Richard Simmons, Charles Nelson Riley, Rip Taylor, and Dom DeLuis), mascot imagery and football slogans, with nods to the four horseman of the Apocalypse.
